Advertisers take note. Fantasy sports advertising has never been stronger.  It’s a great way to reach that elusive 18-40-year-old male audience. According to the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, 27 million Americans play fantasy sports with fantasy football being the biggest and fantasy baseball following close behind. Why I Kept DirecTV Even After I Moved

Posted by on Jun 6, 2009 in MLB Network, Promotional Considerations | 0 comments

I don’t break the life/blog wall all that often, but I felt compelled to hop on the blog this morning and chat a little bit about why I avoided switching my television service to Comcast this past November when my family moved from Western PA to Central PA. Even Dish Network wasn’t available to us in the townhouse community we lived in. I fell in love with DirecTV’s customer service during my time in Western PA as a customer. And with all the controversy between Comcast, the NFL Network, and the Big Ten Network, I also enjoyed the fact that I didn’t have to miss...

Posted by on May 22, 2009 in Promotional Considerations | 0 comments

Those of you who have wasted time invested valuable hours reading the “About Us” pages on this website know that I am an alum of West Virginia University, and also a tried and true fan of the Old Gold and Blue. As a matter of fact, WVU is also Ballpark Bob’s alma mater (is that a cool fact?). Anyway, this past April, WVU Quarterback Pat White was drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. But, did you know the new Dolphins backup QB has also been selected on three occassions in the Major League Baseball draft? White played centerfielder and pitcher on two state championship squads in Alabama during his high school career. The first time White was drafted in baseball came in 2004 following high school graduation. The Anaheim Angels selected him as an aspiring outfielder in...
