Jose Bautista has the skills to go first overall in fantasy drafts; call me a homer if you want (you would be right). You might ask me if I have ever heard of Miguel Cabrera or Matt Kemp and the answer would be I have, but… Bautista MIGHT be better (a BIG might). We all love value picks.  We all love sleepers.  Who will be this season’s Lance Berkman, Joel Hanrahan, or Ian Kennedy? BallparkBob reviews his top sleepers at each position for the 2012 season.   Catcher — Wilson Ramos, Washington Nationals Wilson Ramos is best known as the guy who got kidnapped in Venezuela this off-season before a daring rescue saved him.  But, he may be quite more well-known in 2012 now that Pudge Rodriguez is gone.  The 24-year-old’s ability to hit for power and average makes him an enticing sleeper for 2012.  In just 389 at bats, Ramos hit .267 with 15 homers, 52 RBIs and 48 runs scored.  He will not be pushed by backup Jesus Flores and should get the vast majority of the playing time.  Based on his 2011 season, Ramos is capable of a .270...

This post was written and contributed by Kellen Hunter. Picks for 2012 During the fantasy baseball draft, nothing quite beats the thrill of getting the most in-demand players on your roster. If you’re serious about your team, you spend hours poring over predictions and stats, making your picks and setting your lineups. But sometimes, a player that looks great on paper just fizzles on the field. That pick that was such a coup during training camp turns out to be an albatross that brings down your whole team… Just like some of these 2011 fantasy baseball must-haves who turned out to be duds: Justin Morneau, 1B, Minnesota Twins Players returning after injuries are always risky, and Justin Morneau is a textbook case as to why. The once consistent hitter hit only four HRs in 2011 and had an average...

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post submitted by Mike Wright. Mike played all kinds of sports growing up and adamantly follows everything sports now that he is too old to contribute at a high level. He currently works with The Phoenix Bats Company, a company that creates world-class wood bats, such as their famous maple bats, for amateur and professional ball players around the world and loves writing on different sports topics. With the beginning of spring training every year, each MLB team takes the opportunity to get long looks at their prospects as they do all they can to convince their teams that they are ready for the jump to the majors. Certainly not every prospect will be ready for the jump, however, at some point during the season, they could be called up on to impact the major...
