2010 MLB Predictions (And Some Fantasy Baseball)

New York Yankees v Philadelphia Phillies, Game 5
Tomorrow – officially – is Opening Day (even though ESPN likes to get the party started one night early). Opening Day is still one of our favorite days of the year at Fantasy Baseball Dugout. Something about baseball being played nationwide for the first time each April is thrilling. Maybe its one of the sure tell signs of spring, maybe its the famous people throwing out first pitches, maybe its the fact that there is meaningful afternoon baseball on a Monday.

Whatever it is – the homies at Fantasy Baseball Dugout love Opening Day.

Since every baseball blogger is going to be throwing out MLB predictions over the next 48 hours, we figured now is the best time to throw out our 2010 regular season predictions, too.

When we look back over our track record in making these MLB predictions, frankly – we pretty much suck at it. In 2008, we picked the Detroit Tigers to dominate the league. That didn’t work out at all.

Last season, we actually picked the World Series participants and World Champs correctly (NICE). However, just about everything else we picked was incorrect (BUMMER).

This season, in addition to providing fantasy baseball advice all year, we are also going to be contributing analysis to the world of real baseball. All season, you’re going to be able to find our analysis on the AL West as part of Yardbarker’s MLB Power Rankings Blogger Poll. Check back each week as we do our part to rank MLB’s best. For your convenience, there is a link to the poll in our Blogroll.

Below is our long list of 2010 MLB regular season and playoff predictions. We’ll throw in some post season award predictions and fantasy baseball projections, too.
